DTH updates Airtel Digital TV DTH System Maintenance Activities

They might have lost screws,nutbolts,hammer,etc etc for repair due to out of stock,they r nt getting those in bulk qty so process is slowed dwn frm 15mnths...good going

Easy to poke fun at hard work of others without even knowing what is being done....anyways once Airtel Digital TV reveals the much anticipated changes then we shall have discussion on this, hopefully at that point of time u shall be able to understand what all was being done in last year :)
 
Airtel Digital TV has also introduced several other changes/things too like Airtel Darshan service channels, Airtel Music launched Airtel Xstream box etc.


Also certain things take time to be rolled out/implemented and i have had elaborate discussions on the same....adding new channels is dependent on several things not just free bandwidth or empty LCN slots. Maintenance / Upgradation activities are carried out for various reasons in order to improve + enhance service offerings and making certain changes for new channel addition can be just part of the whole process
But they are not trying to fulfill customer's request or demands. They always focus to add news channels. If they don't want to loss subscribers they need to launch more channels and work on new plans .

Wrong. They add both popular FTA + Pay as well as other channels which may not have much demand but are launched as broadcaster pays carriage fee to the operator....certain channels like Viacom18 or Disney-Star r in pending status and will be added post LCN Realignment and signing of updated slab agreement in RIO agreement with various broadcasters.

Also Airtel Digital TV has lowest churn rate in past few quarters despite DTH Industry witnessing depletion in subscriber base...in Q1 FY24 Airtel Digital TV has added 1.2 lakh new subscribers

Adtv threats to remove channel ( their card move ) and broadcaster pay short amount to increase date ( card move of broadcaster)

Airtel runs after money only, they don't have any care for customers.

All operators do the same....it is not a thing applicable to just Airtel Digital TV. Carriage Fee is paid by FTA or in cases some Pay Channels too to various operators for their channels to be made available on DTH or Cable TV Platforms, in this too there is an option whether to pay regular fee and launch or maybe pay a certain premium for the channel to be included in FTA Complimentary Bundle Bouquet which is subscribed by large section of customers thus helping channel/s get wider reach.

Infact if Airtel Digital TV or any other operator is putting in efforts to negotiate with these carriage fee channels for renewing agreement at mutually acceptable terms thereby leading to removal date getting extended (sometimes for a longer period as broadcasters would pay smaller amount for remaining on the platform during the negotiation period) thus beneficial to broadcasters, operators as well as customers who get to watch their favorite channels without interruption.


As i have said it is very easy to poke fun at hard work of others without even knowing what is being done by Airtel Digital TV Team during such maintenance activities being undertaken at regular intervals since last 15 months .... All i request is that please stop making unnecessary jokes about this rather engage in constructive discussions on the same as there r several tasks on which work would be ongoing and hopefully soon we shall get to know what is the outcome of it...some things like improvement in transmission quality of deploying decoders for optimising bandwidth usage on transponders won't be even noticed by most customers and experts would highlight the same
