Bharti Airtel is Telecom company and Bharti Telemedia Ltd is DTH company , Now they wants to split Fiber/Airfiber homes(TV service) from DTH company to acquire or merge another DTH company. so, they are doing internal management changes.

They don't need iptv on urgent basis for fiber/airfiber homes to acquire another DTH company fully. I think its a merger with another DTH company with share swap on the cards. ;)

May be one company will run DTH business, while other company will run FTTH/Broadband/Telecom/IPTV business.

May be exchange/swap of businesses

Airtel saves money till date as fiber homes connected to its DTH for live tv, skips iptv. Now they are in a situation to divide fiber & DTH homes and stops hybid boxes and own DTH HD boxes for another reason (might be for merger with Tata play in coming months).

Stop of new box buying is a very big decision, even if they going to buy or sell, they will not take this too early and without any official announcement. I think there are some different reasons.

The biggest reason, I am seeing is "New Subsidiary". Recently Airtel announced separation of their DTH and other business. Now I think they are going to build a totally new subsidiary for DTH. Subsidiary means the company will have different board, CEO, Distribution etc. So Airtel maybe stopped new boxes but the new subsidiary will buy boxes and do business separately from Fiber and Telecom business of Airtel.
While Airtel(Telecom+Fiber) will not interfere in their business and also not use their DTH equipments, they will use iptv boxes for Fiber and Airfiber.

Example: Just Like Network18 is a subsidiary of Reliance but Nw18 has different CEO, Board, Financials, Distribution chain etc.
Yes buddy,i already mentioned the same earlier....Already new team has been announced and will come into effect from April 2025

Current DTH CEO appointed as Connected TV CEO, so they are targets connected home will be the higher revenue generation area comparing to DTH in future as more and more moved to connected tv from DTH.
