After GECs and Movies channels, aMap DTH has now released study on the Infotainment channels across analog and DTH platforms. The study has revealed an interesting fact that League 2 Infotainment channels close in gap with League 1 channels on DTH. The League 1 channels include Discovery and National Geographic Channel while Fox History & Traveler and Animal Planet have been kept under League 2 channels.

aMap DTH has fetched the data for the study from paid DTH platforms which include Tata Sky, Dish TV and Sun Direct. The study indicates that League 2 channels i.e. Animal Plant and Fox History and Traveler fare better on DTH in comparison to League 1 channels. Besides, distribution and language feeds add to the viewership strength enjoyed by League 1 channels compared to League 2 especially on Analog.

League 2 channels being more specific interest in programming also come with only English and Hindi feed and their lesser availability on analog platform gives an edge to DTH platform.

Despite the odds on DTH the content reigns supreme and League 2 Infotainment channels enjoy better viewership , closing on the gap with League 1 unlike Analog.
