Contrary to local press reports that Sony Pictures
Entertainment's animation channel Animax would
be replaced by the company's TV series and film
channel AXN Black, the channel will now remain
until next September at least.
Sony is said not to have reached any agreement with the different operators in order to include it immediately in their programming offers. Currently Animax offers anime productions, in particular Japanese products, and real image series. It also contains some content produced in Spain. Launched at the beginning of May in Portugal, AXN
Black addresses to a more adult audience and it
contains comedy, thriller and drama productions so
being an addition to AXN.
