Does anyone have any info of star sports 1 telugu and kannada?
I feel if they want to air IPL in telugu they have star maa movies (like PKL) i dnt think telugu is a big market for a spl channel.

Dont say that just check out barc ratings for maa movies when pkl is going on its in top 5 place which is never before if they open a channel same response will come up in telugu.telugu is good market for experiment.telugu has less channels but check news genere that is the proof telugu market response is good

They already announced star sports 1 Telugu & star sports 1 Kannada
Breaking News - Star to consider launching more regional sports channels(Kannada & telugu)

Last year they aired pro kabbadi on all regional channels which are star Suvarna plus, star maa movies, star Jalsha Movies, star pravah, asianet movies.

But this time only on star maa movies & star Suvarna plus.

Which Cleary shows they got good ratings for PKL In Telugu & Kannada.

So they'll launch star sports 1 Kannada & star sports 1 Telugu.
I think it'll be launched before IPL. IPL will get good ratings in both market for sure. They want cover 16000 crore which they gave BCCI for IPL rights. For that they'll require more channels.

There are other sports properties from star which will make this channels hit for sure.

Hope DTH operators provide star sports Telugu(if launched) on the telugu regional pack itself and do not ask us to pay extra for it as add on pack.

Star is eager to establish its sports brand stronger in South India. They had TNPL, got KPL from Sony this year, have PKL, have ISL and have already tried providing audio feeds in Kannada and Telugu. These two channels might be joining the bouquet soon.
