Asianet launches first HD channel in Malayalam

Star India-owned Malayalam general entertainment channel Asianet has become the first regional channel in the state to have a high-definition feed.

Asianet HD was launched at 6 pm, starting today.

The channel boasts of HD visual quality and Dolby 5.1 sound quality.

It will air movies, popular serials, reality shows and other entertainment programmes.
