Asianet to start NAK season 3 on 29th Dec and Maa TV to start MEK season 2 on 8th Dec

The leading Malayalam Satellite channel 'Asainet' and Telugu satellite channel 'Maa TV' are all set to rollout the new season of KBC in their respective languages in this December.

As reported earlier in tvnews4u.com Maa TV has initiated the process of preparation for second season of Melo Evaru Koteeswarudu (MEK) by Mid October and commenced the shooting from 24th November onwards and all set to commence the telecast on 8th December @ 9:30PM which will be aired every Monday to Friday.

On the other hand Asianet has just completed the process of selecting the participants for the third season of 'Ningalkkum Akkam Kodeshwaran' (NAK) and likely to start the shooting from 10th of December.

The channel has decided to commence the telecast on 29th December @ 8PM, which will be aired on every Monday to Thursday in place of Comedy stars which was moved to Friday and Saturday.

While the Telugu version of KBC format 'MEK - 2' will be hosted by Telugu Actor Nagarjuna, who started his television stint as a host for the first season that became a grand success and prompted the channel Maa TV to plan for the second season in such a quick succession.

The Malayalam version of KBC format NAK - 3 will be hosted by Malayalam Action star Suresh Gopi who happened to be the host for the previous season too.

Maa TV's programming team is pinning huge expectation on the show to fortify the channel's supremacy in the market by strengthening their entire program line-up by making use of the additional viewership, the channel will be gaining from MEK and try to retain them from there on, by launching a new fiction show @ 9:30 PM towards the end of the second season of Maa TV (a strategy similar to that of initial days of Star Plus, which made use of the popularity of KBC launch to promote 'Kyun ke Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi' and 'Kahaani Ghar Ghar Ki')
Asianet which is already enjoying the supremacy in Malayalam market is hoping to destroy the competition by nicking them in the bud without giving any possibility to sneak up.

Both the version are being produced by the veteran Quiz Man 'Siddhartha Basu' owned Production House 'Big Synergy' which owns the format of KBC. Asianet and Maa TV are planning to run the new season tentatively for 60 episodes, However, their plans are likely to change subjected to the performance of the show.
