Very well said.. Bengali film industry is now trying to understand what audience really want. I think 2019 is the best year for them. Everyone's trying to do something different. Even commercial actors like Dev, Jeet had to change their track. They are now doing content based movies..

Absolutely Tollywood now realises the necessity of Content Driven Movies. Even in recent Interviews both Dev & Jeet have said that HERO of a Film is not the Human HERO but the Content is now the ultimate HERO.
For example take last 3 Films from Dev. 'Cockpit' , 'Kidnap', 'Password' all driven by Good & Original Content which is absolute Eye Warmer to watch.
Last 2 Films of Jeet - 'Panther' & 'Shesh Theke Shuru' again full fledged Content Oriented Movies.

..... But i don't like the idea that they are still making UA/A rated Byomkesh. Sounds like Feluda for child and Byomkesh for adults. If they want more profit then they have to make the movie more kids friendly..

If You go through the Story Line of Byomkesh Series - the situation arises in the stories are mainly of Pschycological Thrillers where every Emotion of Human Being is attached. And thus some Matured Content implicated.

But on the other hand Feluda mainly deals with Straight Forward Mystery where the Protagonist solves the Case with his utmost Brain. Also Feluda Novels introduced as Children + Adolescent Thriller which published in "Anandamela" the Only Magazine for Kids. Thus Matured U/A content is absolute unnecessary in Feluda.

The newly introduced "Shabar" also deals with Matured Content with High Level Pscychological thriller.

Not really cheap tactics. It is a patriotic film so 26th is suitable. Plus 26th is Sunday. But you are also right that 23rd is Bose's birthday.
