It's impossible as of now for Colors Tamil to enter top5,it would be in 10th or 11th position

Top 5 channels are Sun, StarVijay, Zeetamil, KTV,Vijay Super!
After these 5 channels, Adithya TV,Sun Life, Kalaignar TV and Zee Thirai bags 6th to 9th positions!

10th and 11th positions bagged by Jaya TV and Colors Tamil (with least difference)!

May be Sun Music would be in the list too.. Its GRP is not available for the past week

Colors team missing Biggboss show in Tamil very much i think . If this show rights with Colors Tamil then they easylly they 150kto180k imp achieve .

It's not that much easy to get 150k to 180k in Tamil market!

Currently they have only 70k impressions and with just a show we cant say their GRP will be doubled!
There must be proper planning ,currently Colors Tamil fictions are really good, but they are not fetching good numbers,!

Even if Bigg Boss airs on Colors Tamil, that would happen to Bigg Boss too probably!


For the first 5 seasons Star has got Bigg Boss rights for Tamil, Telugu and Malayalam! We have to wait and watch it they will renew the rights after 5 seasons or not!

Even Kamalhassan's agreement will be over by fifth season ,its still a doubt who will be the host from 6th season and who will be telecasting the 6th season!
The 4th season starts next month on Vijay TV!

Currently they have only 70k impressions and with just a show we cant say their GRP will be doubled!

Even if Bigg Boss airs on Colors Tamil, that would happen to Bigg Boss too probably!

I think star will def retain bb rights in this 3 languages as all 3 bb are doing so good for channel
Plus in malayalam there is no one to take bb rights as zee is not interested in bb

And in tamil colors still not crossed 100k so bb will be very expensive for them

ColorsSuper with high compitetion from main channels its crossed 180k imp in opening week 150k normal weeks (BBK 5th&6th) . Within launch of 2 years its achieved. Biggboss type property push bigger (more viewers & it is like eye catching ).
Market size wise Tamil is bigger than kannada even can achieve more than expected .

Exactly yes,, Colors Tamil had got 100k within 2 to 3 months of launch since they had Naagini2 (1 hour) and Enga veetu Maapillai (The Bachelor 's tamil version with Arya for 1 hour)
So they were able to cross 100k easily, after both shows end, Colors Tamil started struggling and that struggle continues till now!

Few of their shows like Malar, Perazhagi were getting good ratings, but when they started KBC in tamil, they offaired most of their fictions!

Even KBC didn't help Colors Tamil much!

Yes tamil market is over competitive market nd its very hard to survive for any new channel except star sun zee so i dont think bb will help colors tamil in any way in other way it will go into losses
Plus @PdasaRichee even though tamil market is bigger but it is overcrowded also with so many movies,music channels nd diff gecs from small market whereas kannada market is not overcrowded like tamil market thats why colors super become success
It will be foolish move for colors tamil to get rights for bb
Vijay tv took 15+yrs nd zee tamil took 8+yrs to give tough competition to sun

Why you are comparing kannada market with tamil market.....In kannada market there is no such fierce competition as tamil market
Nd now check tamil market impression you will get to know that how hard it will be for colors tamil to cross even 100k right now they need to work on fictions

Losses can recover with other serials & shows . Presently they should brake we are different than other Tamil channels (Biggboss helps ). Launching diff type of good original contents it will get good opening trp . This helped colors in Kannada market .
