Just look at telugu market nd tamil market their top 5 channels impressions most of channels are above 350k nd here no.1 channel struggles to get 300k because south people watches only their regional channels.....during that time ZM achieved 400k mark because other 4 channels from top struggle to get evn 150k but now star pravah is giving tough fight thats why viewership is divided between ZM nd SP but i want all top 5 channels should get above 300k impressions like south states considering MH population

Buddy ratings from a specific region or chs r dependent on multiple factors . Firstly there r states which have high tv penetration thereby corresponding ratio of measurement meters or ratings also tend to b more. Then there r states or regions where tv penetration may b less but meters installed r quite high while on other side some regions still have limited measurement meters irrespective of total tv homes. Finally as u all r discussing it is based on audience liking or preference content is watched and this again varies based on languages understood or how much % of population in that region belongs to which community. Mumbai or Pune or any other big city has big chunk of migrant population or even those permanently settled for yrs tend to know multiple languages and sizeable number pf marathi people also know hindi too hence both Hindi, Marathi chs get good ratings from there....having said so other regional chs must also b getting decent ratings from Maharashtra bcoz of this very reason but proportion wise as compared to hindi or marathi may still b less

I knw ratings depends on diff factors such as tv penetration across state, geographical, demographic, socio economic status plus i also admit MH tv penetration is less compared to south states such tamil nadu and andhra but u cant ignore that our state viewership is devided between regional gec as well as hindi GEC thats why marathi GEC's impressions are so less as compared to other south states as maharashtra is no.1 contributor to hindi GEC viewership

It is because of Mumbai if leaving Mumbai we see then MH will not be top 1 in contributing Hindi gec viewership. In Mumbai only 46% are Marathi and all others are Hindi siders we can expect more Hindi tv viewership from Mumbai but I think Marathi TV viewership is also good from Mumbai.

Furthermore, I like Zee's enthusiasm to enter regional market and produce regional content, unlike Star. Zee Gujarati suffered financial losses and was shutdown, still Zee has ventured to Punjabi, Odia and Urdu markets. Even I have no hope that Star India will ever venture into these markets, leave alone Assamese and minority language markets. 😐
Entering into this markets will be sucidal move for any big broadcaster this regions are core audience of hindi GEC nd entering in this market means sharp fall in their own hindi GEC which makes large profit for them
If all big broadcasters will enter into this markets then it will be end of Hindi GEC's

More regional channels should be launched and people should stop watching hindi channels as Hindi is not their language. Like rajasthani, punjani, gujrati ,bhojpuri and other hindi siders watch more Hindi and lesser or not watch their own language programs & channels, what may be the reason?

If that happens then it will be end of hindi gec and i dont think any of big broadcasters will make this foolish move except zee

Zee,Star,Sun, Viacom18 and other small big networks should launch Punjabi, bhojpuri, gujrati and all North Indian languages channel. They can earn money from this channel and hindi channels should be closed it will be good if hindi channels end then more North indians will watch TV channels in their mother tongue.

Leave Mumbai and Vidarbha MH will not be in top 5.
How do we knw just by leaving vidarbha nd mumbai mh will not make into top5 .....there are very sizable people from paschim maharashtra also who watches hindi content also without knowing barc data we cant say anything about it
