Viacom will go for digital rights.
Digital rights is bigger race this time,Star and Viacom both will be trying,TV rights will find lower bids,as increasingly TV rights is soĺmething no body is interested and it will further loose in next 5 years due to popularity of OTT

I believe Digital rights will see more fierce fight today as compared to TV rights.

Viacom18/Jio desperately need the digital rights to lead over Airtel/Hotstar with Jio Airfiber.

Everybody wants sony atleast grab one rights but history will repeat once again star bagged the rights and give cringe typo promo, production, poor pq & graphics. Sony is going back to sleep again. Y sony couldn't bid aggressive.
Sony doesn’t do business with risk … they always mentioned that
Look at star now they grabbed every major rights with unnecessary which doesn’t create any meaningful profit… Now they are suffering same thing will happen to viacom if they grab rights with huge pricing maybe it will take time but same thing will happen free isn’t sustainable

Viacom has huge cashflow, they dont care if the media company is non profit. It feeds jio thats enough for them.
