Hi all,

This Beetel S29 FTA Satellite receiver will not scan DVB-S2 MPEG4 8PSK modulation channels with symbol rates higher than 30MsPs.

The normal symbol rate range is 2MsPs to 45MsPs for all QPSK / 8PSK / 16APSK modulations.

So please check the specifications before buying MPEG4 DVB-S2 FTA Satellite Receivers.

really bad that they are giving wrong deatils in their website.

Bapun, details in their website are correct. Its the set-top box that is useless for higher symbol rates.

The price is also around Rs3000, so its not a good buy since many channels will not be scanned.

Also some Beetel boxes do not have Blind Scan and transponders have to be added manually :(

Does Anyone Have Beetel S29 settop box Original Firmware?
OR Its Dump?

the box i have is now locked by Password, n i want to flash its software by RS232 upgrade mode.

Solid is better than Beetel STB. Solid all products are very good in the lower range.
