when we had Mohi from 5.30 PM and STAR Plus Dopahar 5 shows in afternoon, impressions could have easily crossed 1 Bn AMA. That's where Sun TV wins the race, owing to afternoon content .

Mohi was at 5pm slot and jana na dil se door was at 5.30pm at the same time period around 2015
Bt what you said is right sun tv always wins race not only because of their afternoon show but they also telecast movies everyday and they also air many reality shows in weekend and that too on odd slots whereas star plus schedule is simple most of time they air shows from 7-11pm from mon-sat and max only one reality show at weekend

Suntv's sunday primetime movie makes big difference in the overall impressions and before lockdown they were airing shows during Sunday afternoon, only 2 or 3 shows ,
Post lockdown Suntv didn't start even a single non fiction show.. They filled their complete Sunday schedule with just movies..
Suntv air 2 movies per day now (mon to sat ), which was only one before lockdown!
Suntv airs 4 movies on Sunday!

The 11.30 slot is a very odd slot. People don't stay awake at such late night to watch the show. That's why Chuni Panna ended with such low TRP. Even Jay Kali Kalkattewali and Membou had met with such fate due to low TRPs. But STAR Jalsha has permanently made the 5.30 PM and 11.00 PM slot for original shows, which, I guess, no other channel reserves. I remember, around 2017/2018, once there was a serial whose last few episodes were pushed to 12.00 AM slot because another serial came at 11.30 PM. And at that time, they also had a serial at 4.30 PM slot, and 4.00 PM was for Sita (Siya Ke Ram Bangla dub). STAR Jalsha is very much attached with a long time slot.

The South channels have original shows in afternoon slots as well. That's where they beat the North Indian channels in no. of shows. South channels' evening slot starts at 6/6.30 PM, and ends at 11.00 PM, but 12.30 PM to 3 PM content adds to it. Hence, Sun TV and STAR Maa get so much impressions. Whereas STAR Plus runs the race with only 6.30 PM to 11.30 PM slot. Reruns give good TRPs, but if there were originals like in 2017, when we had Mohi from 5.30 PM and STAR Plus Dopahar 5 shows in afternoon, impressions could have easily crossed 1 Bn AMA. That's where Sun TV wins the race, owing to afternoon content .

BTW now SJ also has daily original afternoon shows (though they are non fiction), along with 1 dubbed show. So now they airs mostly different content in afternoon rather than repeats of prime time shows like before.
Also SJ was the first GEC to cross 400k impressions without any non fiction shows/weekend special shows/movies, but only with serials 24x7 few years back.

Not few years, but few weeks back, when the channel got it's place in Top 10 Pay Channels across Genres.

which very well shows that the Bangla market has potential to do much more than what it is doing now. At present, STAR Jalsha has RadhaKrishno at 1.30 PM and Superstar Poribar 2 at 2-3 PM. If they add atleast 1 original fiction at 1.00 PM instead of Khelaghor repeat, it will be beneficial for them.

khelaghor got really good ratings of 6.6

Aparajita apu got ratings same as previous show

Titli first time increased to 7tvr gap decreased between titli and rani rashmoni

Prathma kadombini also got good ratings of 2.8 at slot like 5pm but i still feel that they shouldnt have shifted slot of kadombini
