In my locality Airtel XStream Fiber service is excellent, no downtime barring extremely rare exceptions when some technical glitch happens from their side ...also they undertake routine maintenance activities in watershed hours so that there r minimal disruptions in service for customers.
As far as Airtel XStream Smart Android Box (Version 001) is concerned which i bought in 2021 again there have not been any issues faced barring few times when if someone open various apps in background and changes channels very fast or more commands r sent in quick succession then box may slow down or restart automatically bcoz processor gets overloaded and this is common for any device....also transmission quality across different parameters is excellent....i am very satisfied with user experience be it functionality or features
But in my current location airtel fiber is worst bro, most of users posted their issue, take above 1 week to resolve their issue, in 3 years to 4 years, before i also used airtel normal bb in another location, very excellent in rainy & cyclone time also it's working fine, problem resolved within 48 hours,
Tataplay & airtel dth technician also very worst in here, for tataplay signal issue, one technician came told from my floor mdu box to home cable to home, cable need to replace asked Rs.2000, i didn't pay, later 2 to 3 technician came, checked with new cable same issue, & temporary resolved, after I had send email to nodal officer, they resolved, finally mdu technician came resolved, I had told technician name, he told this technician is my seniors they don't know mdu dish, if they called means i will inform correct solution,i know they will not call because i'm junior, it's very simple issue mdu amplifier power cable,
During installation airtel technician came told cable is short sir, unable to joint splitter, if u want u can register refund request, or I will connect with tataplay signal cable but only one dish is working, he told I will give new cable 30 meter, mdu to home, u need to fix this cable through your local electrician, we won't done wiring mdu box to home,
Just activated in new cable floor mdu to home directly (outdoor) & I had told him I will fix with my electrician, please remove this cable, he's not accept, sir activation is pending, then within 2 min, it's activated
, next days electrician came & l will check mdu box wire, they told pull the cable there's few inch extra cable available, I had pulled few inch cable inside house, I had checked with old cable tataplay signal is working, 2 tataplay signal connected, me & electrician went to floor mdu box, just cut 2 meter new cable & joint the splitter, electrician told sir i don't know dth, r u sure after joint the splitter, is it working, can i cut the cable, i had told him, I know sir, after the joint it's working, i had asked electrician to change this new cable in home inside house, he's checked & told for inside hall to bed room need 45 meter, cable length only 20 meter, airtel technician give only 22 meter cable, electrician told from mdu floor box to your home, need 28 meter, if change this cable, it's also not enough sir,
Old & new cable getting same signal strength , just 10 percentage reduced due to another joint (hall to another room) /cable bent inside home
Next day I had called airtel technician, he's not respond call & message
, during installation he told me any problem please contact me sir
I had paid Rs.550 for 30 meter cable & for technician
For electrician I had paid Rs.200 & he's bought splitter & connector for Rs.200 ( Rg6 Connector- 6 & RG6 Coax Cable Connector - 4)
He's given extra connectors
