Good News Bought New Airtel Xstream Connection

In both binge+ box, xstream 3 I am getting Dolby audio...what's strange is that, xstream 4 while booting up shows Dolby audio but once you start watching channels, Dolby audio is removed, even in the signal information it shows unknown format

When was xtreme 4 box launched as you said may be they cut many features from previous boxes... Now a days dth cutting many features and reduced the quality, 1 year back only i purchased tata play new connection but the lnb damaged last week , but tata sky brand antenna from my relative house still in best condition for more then 10+ years every dth starting looting money from us nd started to reduce quality

Wrong.... No such cost cutting done by Airtel.... It supports all the latest + old audio and video formats..... Check review posted about the same in another thread as well as all specifications of Airtel XStream Box STB models available on internet

Guys big update
This xstream 4 box is junk, there are many missing features and channel quality not upto mark

I tested with my friend xstream 3 box and again there is day and night difference in features..I am surprised no one speaks about this

Xstream 4 missing features:
1. Dolby audio not coming when connected from STB to tv to soundbar but works when connected from stb to soundbar.

2. SD channels picture quality quite bad..in xstream 3 I found it is at par with tata play binge+ (10% down but still better than xstream4)

3. Dull picture : again overall picture brightness is low or appears dull, one need to increase the backlight especially in HDR mode, I mean even with same settings in both boxes, HDR output quality of xstream 3 is superior than xstream 4

4. No option to turn off HDR ( auto/off) but present in xstream 3

5. No advance picture options like brightness, saturation ,hue , sharpness

6. No easy way to access fav..in xstream 3 one can access easily by pressing left nav key which opens fav channel menu, same missing in xstream 4

Overall I feel they have compromised a lot, not to forget they removed the optical audio port.

I have asked the technician to downgrade to xstream 3 but he said he will check

If anyone know how to downgrade to xstream 3 please let me know

Pls stop defending airtel i said about tata play also why you doesn't say about that ? You can accept the criticism of tata play but can't accept criticism of Airtel , real fact is this all the dth started reducing the quality nd features

Budfy When All Airtel XStream STB Models support the said features and u r denying the same thereby making wrong comments hence i have stated what is the actual information..... Also just to let u and others know till now 4 variants of XStream Box have been launched and 3.0 and 4.0 variants too have two different sub variants manufactured by Skyworth/Flextronics and Arris/Technicolor (Vantiva) respectively
