Discussion Broadcaster rights of sporting events of yesteryears

Has DD got the shared rights for Olympics just as it got for 2012 and 2016.

Rights of every Olympics is shared with public broadcaster because of it being a national importance event.

slightly off-topic - People forget while talking about IPL success , the reason Ipl was started was because they surprised by Success of ICL tournaments which was held for two years with less popular domestic players and some national players of foreign countries and was also telecasted abroad .later in 2008 end they banned and forced other national cricket association to block/ban players from playing in ICL and then later started IPL with popular players etc.

what if - Zee would have applied for trademark in 2007 itself and got it for ICL t20 tournament and instead of ISL , we might have has ICL tournament with little difference how they managed it.
