Colors is extending the ‘Comedy Nights’ franchise to double the comic quotient on the channel with a new show ‘Comedy Nights Bachao’.

Exploring more genres of comedy and entertainment, Colors has created a comedy band for viewers on weekends. Launching on 5 September, ‘Comedy Nights Bachao’ will air on Saturdays at 10 pm. On Sundays, viewers will continue to get ‘Comedy Nights with Kapil’ at the same time slot.

Building on the genre of ‘insult comedy’, ‘Comedy Nights Bachao’ will take jibes at famous and infamous celebrity guests at the hands of actor-comedian jodis through acid-tongued humour.

Colors CEO Raj Nayak said, “They say comedy is a serious business and we have realized it is indeed a serious one.

As a progressive channel we keep a tab on the evolving taste of our viewers and thus have identified the various elements of hilarity that makes them tick.

Through Comedy Nights Bachao, we are foraying into a new genre of comedy which is getting extremely popular.

We are thankful to all the guests who have been sporty enough to participate in the show and laugh at themselves without bothering about their public image.

With this new brand of humor, we hope to redefine the comedy genre altogether.

The laughter quotient will just double up now on Colors with Comedy Nights Bachao and Comedy Nights With Kapil.” Produced by Optimystix, the funny panel of comic assassins are teamed together as five jodis.

They are Krushna Abhishek, Sudesh Lahiri and Sara Khan; Bharti Singh, Karan Wahi and Pritam Singh; Anita Hassanandani and Mubeen; Shruti Seth and Shakeel Siddiqui; and Pooja Bose and Naseem Vicky
