bro I watch most of them on daily basis, my preferences all sports, Hindi music, hindi GEC and few devotional and news channels, I was looking for sd channels earlier but the quality of sd channels is not good that's why I opted for hd channels.

I wouldn't trust the CC guys. Like I always said, they are really uneducated people (again, dont mean to demean anyone here). I myself have got an email from Nodal saying that if I am on ARP, then remaining amount will be refunded on 31-Jan and will be migrated to TRAI plans form 01-Feb.

When I asked for any ARP packs availability, they denied. There is a lot of confusion.

Airtel has reintroduced ARPs till 31 January at more price than current except Superstar & my plan 219.

@Siva bro, but in this same thread I have seen people from Karnataka region posting images with their recommended packs of Rs 330. I am sure there will be such packs for my region as well. Just that ADTV is not letting me opt for it. I was on Infinity Sports. So my "recommended pack" is ensuring I get (almost) all channels I had and so it is priced so high now. What if i want to downgrade? ADTV always had this mischief of not showing lower packs in SelfCare.

The recommended packs are state wise based. There's nothing like, you'll not see packs below your current packs. I am on offer ARP & I was able to see basepacks starting from 97 in self care but here it's nothing like that. I am able to see only 2 packs starting from 330.

Did you click on optimize on TRAI channel selector? Also, don't go for all the sports channels, if you don't watch them, go with only the absolutely needed ones.

You can remove sports channels & add them only when there's a live match. As english channels are not your preference so remove them. News, music & devotional channels are almost FTA & remaining channels are very cheap, so no issue in taking them. In movies, take only the HD versions except Max HD because it mostly shows south Indian movies which are shown on FTA channels so take them instead of it.
This will definitely reduce your rent. See, now we can't take all the channels of our current basepack as it'll become too much costly so, now we need to compromise with our entertainment.
