Offtopic: Removing Smart card and Reinserting will have any adverse affect in HD DVR???

It is not advised to do. As it causes problems after and i personally faced in other DTH. It will not do anything except stopping all channels.

Doing that again and again will cause problem like card not inserted error/unathorized card etc. So better to don't play with internal hardware part. And it is no where related to software upgrade part.
