No, the person is sitting in the middle of the screen, still the voice comes from center, both the front. I just checked again.

Then it could not be a 5.1 audio bro. Could be a stereo?

It's like this on Star Movies HD, movies now HD and Zee Studio HD. Right now all of them are playing 5.1 channel movies. I think that's how it's working on DTH at least.

Overall, its an improvement from Gemini HD... Hope they will improve further over time

Yes. Definitely an improvement

Arundhathi is in HD but not 5.1 audio.

But they are claiming Dolby Digital Plus audio. What a mess they have.

Baadshah seems to be in 5.1

1. The sound coming from Gemini HD is not that great and I dont see any reason to watch it in my Home Theatre.
2. There is only a slight difference in video between Gemini SD and HD(they are using the same aspect ratio in both SD and HD).. You can hardly feel the difference if you are using less than or equal to 32 inches TV.
3. They are using same SD content in HD channel with same number of ad breaks.
4. Carrying same crap serials in HD(I have never seen female here looking for HD serials - no offence with all due respect to female audience).
5. Finally, they are charging premium fee for all this crap HD channel.

So, conclusion from my end is:
Don't waste money until they show some respect to HD content and quality. And, if you are generous and content satisfied- support Gemini HD:)

Re: D2H added Dolby Digital audio for "Gemini HD"

I agree with you on all the points. Only thing is, from past 2 days they seem to have purposefully reduced the SD channel video clarity at least on Airtel. I can clearly feel the difference between the SD and HD video on my 32 inch TV. It wasn't like this earlier. Seems as if they want to show some difference. Point to note is Gemini HD is free for 3 days on airtel. Marketing strategy??? God knows.
