one correction (more retail) store is owned by other company its not owned by amazon.

kids channel ads does have good takers they also focus on quality rather than increasing quantity compared to other genre . that's why still kids channel are managing to get newer shows in few months compared to English Gec genre . some kids channel like Cartoon Network & Etv bal bharat target both family and kids . they could watch together with their kids . even nick trying through newer kids shows also focusing on kids and parents watching together. Disney animated & pixar movies- are entertaining and watchable by all ages , Hungama tv - kids family anime series - Doraemon , Shinchan thanks to edit is quite popular among kids and family.
More retail purchased by Amazon and Samara capital from Aditya Birla group

I can assure 99.99% that Sun TV is not in talks😅. Till any official news comes out such speculations continue to rise. Also I can't find a lot of buyers for large sized Disney Star. Reliance, Tata & Adani (if interested), Amazon are some of the only few conglomerates able to bear the Star Empire.
If Reliance not interested, then Sony might be the final option for partner of STAR channels, all others are out of syllabus.

Reliance interest will be less as they are building an empire parallel to Star and invested heavily in Sports, OTT etc. Coming to Sony they are merging with Zee, may not be ready to sacrifice one more merger process.
Amazon has money. But it may not show interest watching the scenerio of Indian media industry.
Sun is simply not at the scale of the big players. Except Sun TV all its channels are suffering. It hasn’t been launching any new channels and nor does it plan to do so any time soon, with Sun Neo being a rumour at best. I don’t think it will shed its South mentality and focus in the near future.
Yes. And even if it has enough money, they lack the ability to run a pan Indian network.
At first it can't afford Star, and if it go for sports & OTT how it will be beneficial for them? Hotstar with some originals and sports rights while International, Star TV contents stay with Disney means shell of a coconut. Apart from some smarter players like Reliance its not going to be worthy.

Here in India, Ambani have upper hand in Sports OTT business, so Disney can't deny him as Major partner for their Sports+OTT business sale.

Sure but Star/Disney itself has a well experienced team and established channels in this genre so it is "not" about gaining edge , building audience base , operations/distribution which is the challenge .... Mainly in Sports TV Channels and OTT focus is too build a diverse sporting properties portfolio including popular cricket rights and scaling up content library in other premium genres while expanding mass oriented content & arrive at business model which is viable....having a partner will ease out pressure on different fronts

I strongly feel Airtel will show interest in partnering with Disney-Star is some form or another in this regard as it shall help them further build upon creating a portfolio of services as expanding into TV broadcast space shall immensely help compliment in improving the their foothold in all their other business by providing wide range content and combos to attract subscribers. Also it will help Disney-Star gain more prominence in the digital space as it will be able to reach out to vast subscriber base of Airtel across its different businesses

Sony Star deal will not be allowed by CCI
They can merge their OTTs except TV business with CCI permission and shutdown some sports channels with combined of their sports rights.

Airtel doesn’t have interest in content production at any time.
