They have failed to aggregate content from Zee5 to their xstream app, They have charged too much for Sony Liv content in Xstream app.
Again completely wrong. Airtel XStream Play OTT subscription plans r infact the most affordable as at Rs. 149/month they r giving customers access to around 20 apps. ...they r having quarterly and annual plans too which provide more savings... Also one can simultaneously play content on 2 screens (barring Sony Liv & 1 more app) which includes TV too unlike Tata Play Binge OTT plans where cheaper plans do not allow customer to stream content on their TV be it thru Android TV or Box.

Not only that but Airtel providing complimentary access to XStream Play subscription with various mobile, DTH, broadband plans... Not just once but on a regular basis.....infact i have thrice got 1 year Free Disney+Hotstar Super Plan subscription with my broadband account....not just this but after giving 1 free access to Amazon Prime Video subscription with broadband , DTH Account i have also got complimentary Amazon Prime Video mobile subscription 1 month free trial thrice with my airtel prepaid mobile connection.

Also they r providing XStream Play subscription at Rs. 49 to many airtel subscribers whose subscription has expired.....there r host of other great offers, discounts not just on OTT access but on buying their DTH, Broadband and Mobile Connections or enrolling in Family or Airtel Black plans.

I know u do not like airtel or Disney-Star hence would always mention negative things about them but still buddy facts state otherwise which is why despite stiff competition in all sectors Airtel is showing phenomenal growth at various fronts :)

AT&T - Warner Bros is an example as to why Telecom Cos should never buy content production companies. If they want to attract their subscribers with a larger library of content, just license the content from one of the big studios in the market.

U seem to be again not trying to understand the context on the basis of which i tried to explain that how such collaboration between Dirtel and Disney-Star will bring mutual growth + benefits by leveraging each other's resources in order to scale up their businesses thereby providing growth with a viable financial model.

AT&T story of buying Time Warner and facing issues is a completely different scenario as it was 1stly an acquisition thereafter they were not able to handle the debt it bought nor were able to work out a model to monetise Time Warner assets thru deals with prominent OTT platforms as well as declining TV subscriptions and some other issues in content production (TV Shows + Movies) revenue not being able to recover investment added to the woes.

Here i am taking about synergy between Airtel and Disney-Star where they can work together and expand their business alongside adapting to changing media landscape by investing in required areas while making best possible use of all resources to widen reach + catering to needs of diverse audience in most efficient manner thereby having good balance in taking on rivals on all fronts

Except Sony Liv content, all other apps are mostly useless and Airtel discontinued xstream play app subscription for its Fiber users after 1 year, still they can’t offer OTT combo pack like Jio tv+ or Tata play Binge to its Fiber users.

Again u r entirely wrong buddy. Request u to read my above posts again as it answers the ur latter questions....regarding 1st question well XStream Play Platform offers content from many other good apps apart from Sony Liv, u need to have a relook for details

You seem to not understand the current market conditions.

The synergy between Airtel & Disney Star will bring in peanuts in revenue. For that they need to invest some capex for the merger. Better to invest it in the wired internet business or 5G.

Just because Airtel has distribution doesn't mean the synergy will work. That was the main issue with AT&T and Time Warner too.

Yes, currently airtel is leading in telecom. If they invest in entertainment, they will be in major loss for certain period which will make them vulnerable that too during 6G phase.
Only RIL can go because they have huge investment from median moguls

@dino29 STOP ✋ spamming here pls.. you have already been given warning earlier..
This time some harsh actiom will be taken.. so stop writing such long posts and spam..

Buddy, there is nothic off topic in my above posts, all r connected to what is being discussed.....when certain members do not have any proper answer to the things i mention then they start name calling or leveling baseless allegations against me.

Also instead of advising /cautioning me about taking harsh action when i have not posted anything which calls for the same, it would be better if u read / understand what is mentioned in my posts & try to engage in productive discussions. Some members seem to have issue with anything i say specially if it highlights drawbacks of Tata Play or points out positive things about Airtel or Disney-Star.

I do always maintain a balanced and unbiased viewpoint about all things but if just want to perceive it in wrong manner then buddy u need to make corrections not me :)
