Disney continues Releasing local Indian and Hollywood 20th century studios movies in different banners. Avatar the way of water releasing under UTV Software communications through Disney's Buena Vista International.

After Fox Star to Star Studios rebrand, Brahmastra Part One shiva released by Star Studios/Star India itself in India.

Star Studios for bollywood movies (barring some children films), 20th Century Studios/Searchlight Pictures for all Hollywood Movies barring Marvel/Disney movies which will release under UTV Software Communications company name

Star Studios presented tamil and Malayalam movies too but not great numbers like bollywood movies. UTV and Buena Vista suspended movie production but they continues theatrical distribution, UTV Software communications company continues Hollywood movies distribution, Streaming rights and Merchandise rights licensing.

Still not sure if plan has been cancelled or not. They may as well launch these channels and air mix of bollywood + dubbed hollywood movies+ few dubbed south indian movies across their hindi movie channels. UTV Action mostly airs dubbed hollywood movies from action/horror genre so Star Gold Thrills can continue to accommodate most of these films & add bollywood action movies too in the schedule. I believe a dedicated channel for dubbed hollywood movies finds it difficult to get high ratings and a mix content channel would address this concern. Dubbed Hollywood Movies from other genre can continue to be shown across other Disney Star Hindi Movie Channels including some occasional airing on Star Gold Thrills like it also happens right now on UTV Action. Star Gold Romance can air romantic films from bollywood, hollywood ... Disney Star i believe will air much of older YRF films on this channel which until now have not find adequate space on their hindi movie channels

Current bollywood movies failing is inconsequential with regard to taking decision about launching Star Gold Romance and Star Gold Thrills as disney star has huge bollywood movie library which contains many older movies and same can be aired on these channels apart from some new movies. Usually new movies r reserved for Star Gold and Star Gold 2. Secondary Channels usually feature older bollywood films as u can see from content line up on UTV Movies and such movies connect extremely well with larger audience thus getting good ratings for the channel.

Also looking forward to other new channels and rebranding / revamp of existing channels. Another great thing which is likely to happen is inclusion of Star Movies, Star Gold Select in basic bouquet . Even Disney Channels would be incorporated within existing Star Bouquets. A new retro bollywood movie channel might also be launched and awaiting to see if bindass is again revamped as a youth channel airing mix of shows, music and movies. Possibly we can even see a kids movie channel being introduced. Excited to see what is aired on Disney Channel HD

If costly sports channels are excluded from Star Value Prime Bouquet then it will be a good step as subscribers would get option to watch other channels at lower cost or some additional channels in this bouquet at current prices. No need to unnecessarily pay for sports channels thru the year. I believe a mid level bouquet would include all channels of Star Value Prime Bouquet and Star Sports channels and same can be subscribed by those wanting to watch even star sports channels on their connection

So Star probably scrap UTV Channels if UTV Movies continuously gets similar popularity like Star Gold, already closed OK brand when it's gets huge popularity competition with their own Star GEC and Movie Channel. Comparing with Star currently Zee only managed well &And brand expanded GEC to English movie channels.

But they are scared from OK brand growth and viewership, who knows if Life Ok/Movies Ok channels still present in market definitely one day same channels gives tough competition or kicked out their own Star Plus and Star Gold. there are lot of viewers watched Life Ok and Movies OK as other network channel, without knowing both channels from Star network.

How do people know then that &pictures and other &-branded channels are owned by Zee? Because of brand-building, word of mouth and equity. It was always obvious that Life OK was a Star channel. The whole point was to establish a separate brand while keeping the affiliation with Star. Star’s OK brand was comparatively a failure so it was closed, while Zee’s & brand is somewhat more successful. Not every & channel has been equally successful (&TV least of all) but at least enough brand establishment has been done for consumers to know that & belongs to Zee.

I mean Star's Ok brand successful compared with Zee's & brand, they closed OK brand without proper reason and Star Bharat completely failure except on DDFD. whereas Zee's & brand not got huge success like Ok brand, But they have expanded & Brand launching channels like &Pictures, &Flix, &Prive.

Agree, but only after Digital Zee5 proper launch & lot of Zee5 ads on their channel people understand that & brand belongs to Zee.

Because it's effect their own big Star brand flagship channel revenue in HSMs, Star Bharat and reruns Star Utsav ratings even worst than Life ok. without presence on DDFD nothing Star Bharat in Paid Cable/DTH.

even if you observed that Life Ok channel always behind or in between Sony, Colors, SAB, Zee TV in ratings charts. Viewers too likes their unique shows concept and branding.
