Disney to cut back on TV, sports biz in India

I think Disney may now shut down the various regional sports channels.

There is a no meaning of various regional sports channels...coz they are not playing same content on ss 1 channels...today they are telecast IND vs aus on ss1 English but not on any other regional ss 1 ch even not on hindi...

Because it's effect their own big Star brand flagship channel revenue in HSMs, Star Bharat and reruns Star Utsav ratings even worst than Life ok. without presence on DDFD nothing Star Bharat in Paid Cable/DTH.

even if you observed that Life Ok channel always behind or in between Sony, Colors, SAB, Zee TV in ratings charts. Viewers too likes their unique shows concept and branding.

So if ratings increase such channels will get more ads and even premium ones depending on which segment of viewers r watching the channel. There is no need to worry for a broadcaster in such scenario. Sony Sab too performs better than Sony
