In cable peak era we only know shopping ads came in late night now digital TV era we have dedicated shopping channel
And I just want to know

Watch only shopping channel but not 200+ watchable entertainment channel.

And moreover sports 18 hd being amount of equivalent same of SD version still not available in adtv is se accha toh adtv should had added hd version of sports18 instead of SD version and only now less than a month left to start a new season of 3 European top league and we still have to stick as a adtv customer to SD version.

Ya I know I made post on sports rights section few days ago about it's not matter if I watch in SD/hd but Sony can also give me option of watch in hd but sports 18 SD in only option so my statement above is different

Well, Sports 18 SD got added as viacom18 paid carriage fee to airtel digital tv, tata play, etc. for its addition. If they had wanted to make HD feed available across platforms then they would have done carriage fee agreement for it. DTH or cable operators can add Sports 18 HD channel on their own too but usually this happens when there is huge demand for it. Bandwidth or price of the channel is not an issue for Tata Play or Airtel Digital TV as they have enough space for addition of more channels and pricing factor remains irrelevant as either broadcaster will give carriage fee for it to operators or if operators add it on their own then they will get their share from the monthly MRP of the channel and there is no upfront payment required to get signals of this or any other channel under new NTO regulations

Teleshopping channels pay carriage fee to dth or cable operators so that they reach out to audience / people and sell their products. Addition of these channels does not mean people r requesting for such channels instead of popular channels :)

Keep sending request to airtel digital tv and they will surely add Sports 18 HD very soon

Sports 18 is not a FTA channel and neither do FTA channels get automatically added. Either they pay carriage to operator for addition or operators add them on their own based on customer demand.

Sports18 is a paid channel but currently viacom18 has placed it across platforms by paying carriage to operators , this usually happens with all new channels no matter if they r paid or FTA. Only difference is later on popular channels stay on the platform based on customer demand and subscribers r charged for it while less popular chs continue on the platform only when they pay carriage fee. Adding to this big/prominent broadcasters enjoy advantage of having their channels available on various platforms thru RIO agreement signed with operators for various bouquet /channels while most of the smaller broadcasters have to pay carriage fee for the channels to available on a platform even though channels might b somewhat or extremely popular. For example Mastiii, Aaj Tak r extremely popular channels but they pay carriage fee to b carried on various dth or cable platforms.... They can decide to not pay carriage fee and leave it upto operators to add channel based on customer demand but this involves risk of losing viewership / ratings in the interim period hence it adversely effects ad revenue and there is no guarantee that operator wil add channel back on its own hence to avoid all these risks channels like Mastiii , Aaj Tak and many others continue paying carriage fee to operators. On other hand a channel like MTV Beats would pay carriage fee to operators when it is launched and same might be a 6 month or 1 year agreement, later on it does not have the need to pay carriage fee as when broadcasters renew RIO agreement such channels come included in various bouquet . Very rarely u will cases where big broadcasters pay carriage fee for established and popular channels and that too maybe just for making the channel further increase reach, Discovery Kids and FTA chs like sony pal, star utsav, zee anmol, colors rishtey is a good example for this whichis provided for free at present across dth or cable tv platforms , same ways there would b extremely few popular chs from smaller broadcasters which would b available on a platform without paying carriage fee and just based on customer demand

Very easy to add packs in app and web browser but very difficult to remove packs,
There social media also in deep deep sleep.

One week gone no solution.

In order the current DPao base pack, u will have to either choose another DPO base pack or use the "Make Your Own Pack" option and reselect all the channels of ur choice or get intouch with customer care and request them to drop the DPO base pack

@dino29 bro Iooking at the current scenario it is the only broadcasters who have to take the initiative to place channels on DTH operators. Some popular channels like MTV Beats HD does not find place on Airtel Digital TV and this is in case of most of them barring Tata Sky who also lacks & Explor HD. Thats why Star has also not launched new channels.

This has always been the case buddy. Specially for new channels it is extremely important that broadcasters promote and distribute them well or else most viewers do not even know about the channel let alone demanding it.

Operators tend to either add channels if they r paid carriage fee or if channel has huge demand. Sometimes even though either of the above conditions still addition gets delayed bcoz of LCN availability, bandwidth shortage, limitations to include channel at certain LCN due to ongoing RIO agreement with various where any of the terms cannot b violated etc.

I strongly feel MTV HD, MTV Beats HD, Vh1 HD addition on airtel digital tv is pending bcoz of RIO agreement issue where if these channels r added at respective slots (481, 483, 508) then it would require an updated RIO agreement to b signed with viacom18/indiacast and which inturn would require changes in placement of Viacom18/TV18 channels across various genres (as such agreement include clause for channels to b placed in designated slots across genres). Airtel cannot do it right now as it would then cause violation in terms of agreement which is ongoing with various other broadcasters.

To just state it with example so that u and others better understand it. If placing MTV Beats HD, MTV HD , Vh1 HD at LCN 483, 481, 507 requires placement of Colors Cineplex HD in Top 3 HD LCN of Hindi Movies Genre or similar such adjustments /changes across their chs in various genres to meet the slab requirements signed for in new agreement then airtel digital tv cannot do same as it would lead to RIO agreement with other broadcasters not meeting terms which were signed for by them.

Just wait a little more as LCN realignment happens and RIO agreement r renewed with various broadcasters then these channels will get added on airtel digital tv platform
