There is no need of replacement satellite currently. As per Flysat, arround 14-16 South Asia TPs are available on SES-9 {Excluding Currently Airtel Using}. Airtel can use these TPs and these are more than enough for them.
Anna if Airtel is acquiring Tata Plau then they will directly migrate to GSat-24 and GSat-30 satellites in near Future..... In that case i don't think they will acquire more transponders, may be at max 1 or 2 transponders for the interim period..... Repeat of Insat 4CR to SES7 migration which happened way back in 2010 might be een again soon
Oh, Airtel says that broadcasters showing partiality, what a comedy@dino29 Bro few days back I mailed airtel technical team regarding these channels..Today I got mail and also call from their technical team..I asked them that will the pending Viacom and DD channels be added in mear by future..They told me that it's not airtel fault,it's broadcasters fault as they have not offered airtel to add these channels on our platform.
