In Gsat15, 16 tps are currently used by DDFD and dishtv. So there are remaining 8 tps which can be used for DDFD puposes in future

MPEG2 viewer are in large number compare to MPEG4 due to affordable technology & who dont want upgrade to MPEG4, winning auction for MPEG2 much profitable than MPEG4 on DDFD for tv channel. Which no win MPEG2 then it try MPEG4 but not all, only many time bulletin tv.

The main thing is people not aware. Most DD free dish users don't know about MPEG. They go to the shopkeeper and all he sees is the MPEG-2 boxes. Shopkeeper gave only that box because he will earn margin of around 200 on a box.
