RE: General Discussion & Channel Request on Videocon D2H
I am a 4k user and since two days there has been issues on the audio music channels which cannot be activated post the lcn change.
After failure of customer care and engineer visit, they connected me to senior technical team member at the head office of d2h at Jogeshwari West, Mumbai.
During the telecon, he told me lot of changes are being undertaken at d2h including addition of several features which are not presently available for 4k customers. Today I installed the new wireless headphone facility for 4k which uses a router and is unlike the rf remote wherein you have to connect the earphone to the remote. In this the headphone is wireless and the router connects to the audio port in the 4k set top box.
When I inquired from him about addition of HD channels and the timeline about it, he informed that soon there will be some additions. When I pushed further and asked if the timeline was 3-4 months or more, he informed that the timeline is less than that. I was specifically asking about Star Sports HD4. When I said whether the addition will happen in 1-2 months, he said yes.
He also said lot of technical upgrades are going on at d2h and post which more channels would be added.
So let's wait and watch and as I have suggested in my other threads also that since the new funding has come into d2h in end March, we should give them 2 months max I.e. Up to May end to see if they add the most popular HD channels. If they don't then viewers can rest assured that d2h strategy is flawed especially since they have denied that they have a space issue and which has been supported by technical members of our forum. Only space issue cannot be solved in 1-2 months time as it requires more time which is known to all members of this forum. All other reasons can be solved within a 60 day timeframe.
