Looks like either MN+ will be converted as SD channel or available in downscaled HD mode for SD viewers. Saying so as today onwards they have removed the HD symbol from their logo & logo size has also been reduced.

Broadcasters usually remove HD tag from a channel when they intend to be provide same feed across both SD & HD subscriber base , having HD symbol on SD Feed creates unnecessary confusion in minds of average viewer who does not understand deeper facts

Good News. Sony Pix HD started showing different movies which is a drastic shift from its previous strategy of simulcasting content. Most of the movies listed on EPG of HD channel r similar to what used to air on Le Plex HD.

Guess Sony is again thinking of attracting the viewers who like meaningful, powerful stories. If response is good then we might see relaunch of LePlex soon.

Anyways i think all HD channels should show diverse, exclusive content to add more value in HD Feed. Just having better picture audio or video is not sufficient to make people opt for HD channels in today's day and age

So, now HD & SD feeds are not simulcasting?
SPN said that library of Sony LePlex HD & Sony Rox HD will move to Sony Pix & Sony Mix respectively but they moved the library to Pix HD. Good

They have kept their promise. Mix is airing latest songs from 3 PM to 9 PM which attracts the target audience of Rox HD, shifting movie library of LePlex HD to Pix HD makes perfect sense as this kind of cinema has a very trimmed niche base which more or less is covered in HD segment, no need to disturb the programming of SD feed as it mainly focuses on mainstream hollywood stuff and many who are not even fluent with English watch action movies just for visual appeal.

Sony is an excellent network but unfortunately has problems in distribution, also even if it tries to bring something innovative to Indian TV then people don't give positive response and when they put in investment to launch nice channels like Rox or LePlex then viewers don't wish to pay for the good experience.
