Bindass not the channel of star network... it is the channel of utv network
When Bindass was considered as a youth oriented channel by Barc,it was no.1 for many times and given tight competition to MTV. Later they removed it from that section and channel got disappeared. I hope Star to revamp Bindass and return it as a youth oriented channel again.Admitting that Star got failed in that genre with Channel V but I don't think Bindass repeat it. Bindass has good penetration among youth with some of its contents, adding to this introducing some fresh contents, contents from channel V, youth oriented and romantic movies from Star's library, music etc then the channel will be huge success.

Correct. Disney controls Star, not the other way. Bindass won't come into Star's hands. Talking about movie rights is different; there Star and UTV can sometimes be put together.

On march 2019 Disney bought Star. Now Star and UTV belongs to Disney.

Can't say it. Its not clever to retain UTV as an independent network just for 3 channels (didn't forget kids channels) in which 2 are movie channels. For a sake it may continue as a network, it can come under Star like & brand in Zee.

It is not easy to merge a registered entity, Disney Broadcast (India) Limited, with Star. Even today, Vijay Television Limited and Asianet Communications Limited are separate entities from Star India Private Limited, though they are fully-owned subsidiaries.

Note: There are now 4 UTV-branded channels, including UTV HD.

Imo scarp UTV branding to Star or Disney branding. If you have a channel name with a studio. Then you can only air movies of the particular studio or it looks stupid.

As per your logic Sony Pix can show only Columbia Pictures movies as it is a subsidiary of Sony Pictures Entertainment. Similarly Star Movies can show only 20th Century Fox and Disney productions. Is that true? No.

Moreover, Fox Star Studios movies are regularly shown on Viacom18, especially those co-produced with Dharma Productions like Kapoor and Sons. So, the movie studio has some relation with the TV network, though it is not absolute.

But who rebrands, decide programming etc of the above channels? Like wise UTV can be controlled by Star. What I said was rebranding Bindass with Star's help.I think seperate registration will not be a problem for that.

You had mistakenly read @Dipjyoti Roy bro's post. He said about channels named exactly from a Studio name. There is not a studio called Sony Pix or Star gold. Like wise there is no channels named Columbia movies or Fox Star movies.

Not that logic. Star Gold isn't called Fox Star. Meanwhile UTV movies is called UTV Movies. Retaining the UTV brand doesn't make much sense as it's studio shut down years ago.

You are right, @Dipjyoti Roy and @Raju lal, in the sense that UTV Movies and UTV HD are (apparently) named after UTV Motion Pictures, while Sony Pix is not named after Columbia Pictures. But there are two points to note. First, as you mentioned, UTV Motion Pictures has shut down. Second, the parent company is UTV Software Communications, which is responsible for the UTV brand (the movie studio is not).

That's true, but the UTV brand has some equity with it. UTV Software Communications has been there since the 1990s and it was the owner of Vijay TV from 1998 to 2001.

In any case, even though Uday Shankar is the Asia-Pacific president of Disney, he is much more concerned about his long-time network (Star) than Bindass. Don't expect Bindass to be integrated with Star.
