UTV Action was already popular since it's inception and is still popular. I hope soon it rebrands to Star Gold Action and UTV HD rebrands to Star Gold Action HD. And UTV Movies rebrands to Star Gold Classic Movies.

I think again Viacom links deal with any network for syndication movies

English GECs, movies & infotainment channels provide subtitles & in hindi only Star Plus & Star Utsav provide & that too only for few shows.

This doesn't gonna happen as they've planned to rebrand SUM as Star Gold Family for which they've already got license also & they need 6 movie channels to properly distribute the contents for each segment.

They repeat movies so often. It loses its values. They does need 6 channels. Consider that 3 SD and 3 HD channels. Don't need to flood market with so many movie channels in day and age of OTT.

They were repeating movies but now it's reduced. SUM & UTV movies are also showing very very less south Indian movies. Once everything settles they'll distribute the contents properly on all channels.
If you consider total movie channels then they've 10 channels(6SD + 4 HD) & it's not much considering their vast library. Everyone is not having access to OTT.

OTT hardly has penetration compared to tv universe. Also disney/star has huge movie library and many more titles will b added shortly hence 4 or 5 sd chs needed besides min 3 HD chs for required content to b screened. Repetition will continue till the time new agreements r enabled , also covid and NTO 2.0 implementation delay has led to chs not making major changes right now bcoz even with ratings ad revenue r falling well below expectations. Disney/Star already airing more dubbed hollywood on star gold to refresh schedule and somehow manage... Even they cannot rebrand or introduce new RIO which is why all things getting jumbled and if they just revamp keeping price or other things same then economics might not work

How about Zee? It also has 9 movie channels like Star. It also needs to rotate its library (with some movies exclusive for &xplor HD).

Not considering Sony and Viacom18 as they have only 4 and 3 Hindi movie channels respectively.
