It's has better factual based reporting than the channels you have mentioned and the PQ is also good. Apart from Vinod Dua's show who is left leaning. It's editorial is unbiased.

All the big news channels in any language are interested mostly (not always) in sensational news. The news of Virat and Anushka's pregnancy today is Big Breaking News for them. Not even going into the SSR case. That is why everyone watches ABP, Aaj Tak and Republic.

That doesn't mean the small channels are always good. Every year, dozens of news channels are launched, some of them with obviously phony names like ANB News, News Bharat 18 and Khabar India. Neither do their owners have any experience running news channels nor are they doing a lot of promotions. DTHs are adding them only for carriage fees.

Either way, it is the common man who loses out. The big channels are TRP-hungry machines and the small ones are here today and gone tomorrow.

Seeing lot of Disney / Star cartoons, old shows being aired on Big Magic, Zee5 Kids and some older big magic ones like Akbar Birbal moving to Star Bharat. Is this just a sharing agreement or some kind of bigger merger or association is brewing? Or maybe just like star is having sharing agreement with Shemaroo, Goldmines Telefilms similarly zee must b a new partner

Also now Star World has stopped airing films in afternoon weekdays slot, let's see if this ch revamps or shuts down. Disney Channel HD when launched might air US cartoon shows

It's can happen you never know.
In this forum people are happy & celebrating the Sony-Viacom18 merger. They can't see that 1 company owning to much with this merger. So by that point it's makes sense that Disney will merge it's Star Network with Zee.
PS. Also when Star entered indian market they had a deal with zee.
