Sanjay Bragta to move on from TV Today as Executive Editor - Input at TV Today Network, confirm industry sources. His last working day is March 15 .
Bragta has over 22 years of experience in TV journalism. Having worked with BBC Hindi TV News, AajTak, India TV , and Samay in various capacities, he headed a team of journalists and experts to generate input for four news channels of TV Today network (@aajtak, @India today, Delhi AajTak, and TEZ) as well as international channels of AajTak and India Today.
Bragta created and anchored Prime Nine, a daily hour long news show on Samay National news channel, which was declared the best prime-time news bulletin across all Hindi news channels for 2008-2009 by NTA.
Some of his career highlights also include working with AajTak for ten years in various positions. ‘Sonia Gandhi not to become PM’ and L K Advani’sSinha fiasco were first reported by Bragta on AajTak exclusively.
Bragta has reported on all major issues from the Gujarat riots to the tsunami, three general elections and on BJP and the Prime Ministers beat. As the chief of a political bureau, he set up a team of young and competitive journalists for the organisation when senior people deserted AajTak.
Bragta has worked with BBC Hindi TV News and got on-the-job training for two months from BBC World trainers. He has reported on political and social issues, and some of the special stories were picked up by BBC World.
