Sanjay Bragta to move on from TV Today as Executive Editor - Input at TV Today Network, confirm industry sources. His last working day is March 15 .

Bragta has over 22 years of experience in TV journalism. Having worked with BBC Hindi TV News, AajTak, India TV , and Samay in various capacities, he headed a team of journalists and experts to generate input for four news channels of TV Today network (@aajtak, @India today, Delhi AajTak, and TEZ) as well as international channels of AajTak and India Today.

Bragta created and anchored Prime Nine, a daily hour long news show on Samay National news channel, which was declared the best prime-time news bulletin across all Hindi news channels for 2008-2009 by NTA.

Some of his career highlights also include working with AajTak for ten years in various positions. ‘Sonia Gandhi not to become PM’ and L K Advani’sSinha fiasco were first reported by Bragta on AajTak exclusively.

Bragta has reported on all major issues from the Gujarat riots to the tsunami, three general elections and on BJP and the Prime Ministers beat. As the chief of a political bureau, he set up a team of young and competitive journalists for the organisation when senior people deserted AajTak.

Bragta has worked with BBC Hindi TV News and got on-the-job training for two months from BBC World trainers. He has reported on political and social issues, and some of the special stories were picked up by BBC World.

Zee TV's Zulfia Waris to join Discovery Network

Zee Entertainment Enterprises ltd (ZEEL)’s non-fiction and events programming head Zulfia Waris has resigned.

A source close to the development informed
www.indiantelevision.com that Waris has already served her notice period in Zee. Waris, who had joined Zee TV in July 2015, will now be joining Discovery Network as the vice-president (female and family) from 1 March, 2017.

Prior to joining Zee TV, Waris was the VP and head of development of weekend fiction and non fiction for Star Plus for more than two years. Waris was associated with Star India in various roles. She joined Channel V in July 2008 as a senior executive producer for programming and served there for over than four years.

In 2013, she moved to head the non-fiction development for Star Network where she developed non-fiction concepts and formats with in-house teams and production houses.

Actually now Dolby is aggressively promoting its presence on tv channels in India. And no seconds thoughts that they are paying well to broadcasters for this.
And may be also possible that Sony is trying to show off.. Almost all (may be all) Star HD channels also have dolby audio but they show it just for few seconds when a movie or show starts.. Sony proving smart..

MUMBAI: The board of Zee Media Corporation (ZMCL) has approved the appointment of Jagdish Chandra as executive director of the company’s regional news channels.

Chandra’s appointment is for a period of five years from 3 February 2017, Zee Media said.

Chandra, who was a senior IAS officer of the Rajasthan government, had taken voluntary retirement to join ETV News Network in September 2008. ETV News Network was then under Ramoji Rao-promoted Eenadu Television. It was acquired by Network18 in 2012. Ambani had taken control of Network18 in 2014.

Zee Media Corporation runs a cluster of news, current affairs and regional news channels, which include Zee News, Zee Business, India 24×7, WION, Zee Punjab Haryana Himachal, Zee Madhya Pradesh Chhattisgarh, Zee 24 Taas, 24 Ghanta, Zee Kalinga News, Zee Purvaiya and Zee Rajasthan News.
