Not only this festival, TV channels were airing devotional movies before on account of other festivals as well. Movies dedicated to that particular festival were being aired. I still remember Kannada and Telugu (and other two south Indian languages) airing at least 2-3 devotional films on their main GEC and movie channels. But now this has reduced.

In Telugu, ETV always telecasts old devotional films on festivals. For example, they air Sri Manjunatha on Shivarathri and other old films on ETV Cinema. Gemini TV airs Lava Kusa on Rama Navami every year.

Also Colors Kannada, Udaya TV and Udaya Movies air some devotional films (like Sri Manjunatha) on festivals.

Does anyone else agrees that cartoon channels sucks these days? Problem is lack of English content and worse is dubbing. Beyblade and Horrid Henry is permanently ruined for me for Tapori and Bhojpuri accents. Than there is that every cartoon trying to be Oggy and the Cockroaches. Silent cartoons with Tapori dialogue. I am still giving Naruto a chance. Let's see how it turns out.

The Broadcasters need to rethink about kids content and try to bring back those 90s cartoons or 90s type cartoons. Sony Yay doesn't have proper dubbing and Don't Know why cartoon network is Behind Oggy and cockroach show airing it frequently. Better they bring back those 90s cartoons like Dragon Tales, Baby Looney Tunes, Pink Panther, Richie Rich, Roll no. 21, Bob the builder, Oswald, Make Way For Noddy, Pingu, Krishna Aur Balaram, Johnny Test, Johnny Bravo, Cambala Investigation Agency (Live action), Popeye the sailor man, Beyblade etc. WB should make Pogo or launch a separate channel for Live Action Shows which used to telecast in various kids channels in past like Mad, Takeshi Castle, Art attack, Sunaina, Camabala Investigation Agency, Galli Galli Sim Sim, Best Of Luck Nikki, Vicky Aur Vetal, Oye Jassie, The Suite Life etc.

Actually only CN has improved now, it shows dragon Ball Z Super from 9pm, Adventure Time at 11:30am, Courage The Cowardly Dog at 11pm,Billy Mandy Aur Life Mein Haddi at around 6pm every Sat and Sun, every sunday a Scooby Doo movie at 9:30pm, sometimes A harry Potter Movie, giving more Space to Teen Titans Go
Ben 10 (all Series) on weekends

But still more is needed, our Gen has watched many good ones, but today's generation has nothing
