Small "niche channel" Disney International HD has higher ratings than Sun TV HD. Should Sun TV HD be shut down to save bandwidth? It is already catering to a wider audience with SD variant.

All of them. Education is important. HD channels are not important.

Jokes aside! Sun TV can cater to wider audience with an SD only feed. Sun TV will stretch the picture for you wide for your 55 inch 4K TVs. Just how that channel was meant to be seen.

I just could not understand why sony is so insecure of losing rights of bollywood films and these shifting to its rival networks. I mean they just go on repeating spree for such channels and as exit times comes more n more nearby the repeating frequency of such films becomes so high that it really becomes somewhat irritating for viewers. Also such kind of content surely does not negative impact on the scheduling of the channel which becomes largely filled with same kind of films and the attraction value/ appeal for such films among the audience also gets lowered.

Sony might b thinking that with this strategy it will help lower the success or ratings such films get when they shift to rivals which maybe somewhat true in shortrun but sony is forgetting that at first right now this strategy is infact greatly creating a negative perception about their hindi movie channels among the mass audience base.

Finally a good initiative by government. You got 28 States and 8 Union Territories to provide enough content. They can showcase history and culture dedicated to each part of our country.

According to schedule NDTV Profit airs Live Court Proceedings on TV. Also they got repeats best of news shows from both NDTV India and NDTV 24x7. Along with shows like Cell Guru and Gadgets Guru are airing. All they need is some documentaries. They perfectly reinvented the channel.
