Viacom18 needs to adopt a strategy similar to Disney Star for its hindi movie channels. Flagship channel Colors Cineplex SD should start focusing more on post 2000 popular bollywood movies alongwith few dubbed south indian/hollywood movies, HD feed can continue to air mix of mainstream & offbeat bollywood films & Colors Cineplex Bollywood can continue to feature primarily pre 2000 bollywood content. Also Colors Cineplex Bollywood HD is much needed as single HD Hindi Movie channel is not enough to accommodate vast library of bollywood films.

Viacom18 is only broadcaster to have 2 hindi movie channels on DD Free Dish which cater separately to dubbed cinema and bollywood films audience hence they can feature lot more variety of content on both channels as compared to competitors which have to club bollywood, dubbed south indian movies in a single channel which is made available on DD Free Dish. Having 2 hindi movie channels on DD Free Dish also comes in with a major advantage of catering to both Pay TV and DD Free Dish audience simultaneously thru such channels & reducing repetition of content as broadcaster gets more space to experiment with content rather than deciding upon a scheduling strategy wherein all content is made available on their DD Free Dish channel with minimal overlapping/repetition of the same happening across all their Pay TV hindi movie channels.

I think Nick HD+ is in exit mode as no change in its content strategy has been observed for last few years. Maybe Colors Cineplex Bollywood HD can replace this channel. Both Nick HD+ and Cartoon Network HD+ had immense potential to carve a niche for themselves and cater to teenage or more adult/older audience base but their content strategy has not been planned/executed in required manner. Neither they are airing content which will attracts regular kids audience nor it has any content which older audience will find interesting.

Lastly And TV HD and Star Bharat HD should also be shut down asap and instead of them Disney Star should start a new Retro Bollywood Movie Channel while Zee should maybe start Wion HD or a Kids HD channel. Expecting even Fox Life SD/HD to undergo a revamp soon and hopefully Disney Star will launch a new infotainment channel for science, investigative, biography content too while National Geographic Channel can continue to focus on Adventure, Exploration shows. Fox Life can continue airing mix of Travel, Lifestyle, Food Shows
Nick HD has a Teennick block catering teens with shows you won't find on OTT platforms. Unlike other broadcasters Viacom caters to everyone.

That block is not airing any fresh content. Since last 3 or 4 years how many shows have aired in that block, maybe just at max 5 or 6 and that too get repeated over n over again. As i have said Nick HD+ has potential to be an excellent channel but its content strategy is not well planned and needs to be redesigned

Why would they do so? You already put them on exit route.

what are u saying bro? Infact quite the opposite is really true. Since they are not having a good content strategy for lastv4 or years hence i am suggesting that this channel should be shut down.

I clearly said that Nick HD+ had great potential to be a successful channel but required brainstorming was not done to telecast content which connected with its primary target audience (15 - 35 yrs old).

I would be extremely happy if at present too it undergoes revamp and starts showing good.content

Zee Cinema HD will be airing more bollywood movies tomorrow, hope that they soon revert back to old bollywood movies driven content strategy

Star Gold HD would b made available before this date across all platforms (not sure)
You mean Star Gold 2 HD. It’s very unlikely that it will be launched before February 2023 at the earliest, when NTO 2.0 is supposed to come into effect. There’s no knowing when Disney Star is going to unfreeze all its pending launches and shutdowns.

Yes bhai. Sorry for the typing error. Well Disney Star will b looking to implement /bring in NT0 2.0 compliant RIO at the earliest and launch all the pending channels alongwith it. No need to wait until 1st February 2023, broadcasters are free to publish New RIO and sign agreement for the same with operators at any time of their convenience. 1st February 2023 is just the last date set for complete rollout of NTO 2.0 guidelines

You must be knowing that already many broadcasters have not only brought the New NTO 2.0 RIO but successfully entered agreement with various operators for it... We are already getting to see latest bouquet / pricing listed for such broadcasters on various service support platforms of different operators (App/Website/Whatsapp/SMS Database etc.)

Could b bcoz of either of these 2 reasons

- Star Gold 2 HD would b made available before this date across all platforms (not sure)

- As this movie is likely to attract fewer audience hence being premiered on Star Gold 2 while Star Gold will air some other popular movie. Also as Star Gold 2 costs just Re.1 hence there is a possibility that more people will subscribe to it to watch this movie as compared to how many people would show interest in opting for Star Gold for watching this movie
Don't mind bhai FYI Star Gold 2 SD is costs ₹2 and SGS too

Which DTH connection are u using? Is it Sun Direct?

On Airtel Digital TV, Star Gold 2 costs Re. 1 and Star Gold Select SD costs Rs. 7.

Sun Direct would have signed the Latest NTO 1.0 RIO agreement with Disney Star, Airtel Digital TV still has agreement ongoing as per the 2nd NTO 1.0 RIO which Disney Star had released while Tata Play still is continuing with the 1st NTO 1.0 RIO variant which Disney Star had published so u will notice changes in packaging and prices of many star Disney bouquet of channels across these 3 operators
