With Star Gold Thrills launching on DD Free Dish from 1st April Onwards i think it will give tough competition to Goldmines and there r some reasons why i believe so
Firstly on Pay TV Platforms people have been enjoying watching dubbed hollywood movies on UTV Action and other Disney/Star Hindi Movie Channels and sometimes even on zee/sony hindi movie channels for a very long time. Also somewhat large part of this audience would have access to OTT thereby further increasing their access to such content. UTV Action had built a dedicated audience base for such content and Star Gold Thrills is continuing the legacy on much grand scale further expanding range of dubbed hollywood movies aired on the channel.
Now Pay TV Platforms have so many hindi movie channels or OTT content to choose from and even watch lot of YouTube or content on other Free Platforms (bcoz of better access to internet/broadband) thereby viewership gets divided among all these channels / mediums .....now cut across to DD Free Dish audience which does not get access to such wide range of hindi movie channels or content and even their access to content on Digital / OTT platforms would be lot less compared to Pay TV audiences which would have more resources / financial power to be able to opt for different channels / options hence once Star Gold Thrills launches on DD Free Dish it will give them access to 24/7 dubbed hollywood movies content which until now has not been part of their daily viewing apart from few of such movies which may have aired occasionally on hindi movie channels available on DD Free Dish platform. As Hollywood Movies do offer great content so i think it will easily be able to give tough competition to dubbed south indian movies being aired on Goldmines, Goldmines Movies and maybe even score more ratings than them..... This would be a whole new type of content which DD Free Dish viewers will be able to watch anytime of the day and apart from some very good dubbed south indian movies i do not think other dubbed south indian movies will be able to get more viewership than popular dubbed hollywood movies which will be aired on Star Gold Thrills.
Star Utsav Movies would have got very good ratings for dubbed hollywood movies it aired on Star Utsav Movies and DD Free Dish viewers would have largely contributed towards it hence Disney/Star would have taken such an ambitious and bold step to launch Star Gold Thrills on DD Free Dish platform. If this step proves to be successful then Sony-Zee, Viacom18 too will most likely focus on bringing more dubbed hollywood movies to its viewers on DD Free Dish but that will be tough in short term as already Disney-Star has signed movie output deal agreement with all popular and even small studios /companies. Colors Cineplex Superhits when launched had promised that they will also air dubbed hollywood movies but never aired even one of them. I feel Sony-Zee, Viacom18 lost out on this huge opportunity and just like Disney-Star has slowly made Sony-Zee, Viacom18 realise the importance of airing bollywood movies on hindi movie channels and that it brings in high viewership similar thing will happen incase dubbed hollywood movies too

SD and HD feed of &Flix r having different movie schedule thru the entire day except evening and night slot and on some holidays when schedule remains same. They r now accommodating almost all of the hollywood/foreign language movies which were part of &Privé library/schedule on their main channel &Flix....this might be an indication that soon &Privé HD will be shut down.
After shutting down Sony Le Plex HD even Sony Pix HD aired many movies from the defunct channel library during the day time while SD feed aired regular content...later this content strategy for Sony Pix HD was discontinued and simulcasting of movies started again
