No bhai. The mistake is that Sports18 2 and 3 don’t have HD versions. Shame on Viacom18 for not even considering launching HD versions for them, and once again putting too much emphasis on JioCinema. Only 1 HD channel to show the entire Paris Olympics! The same mistake was done with the 2022 FIFA World Cup as well. Look at Sony when it broadcast the Tokyo Olympics in 2021, with simultaneous coverage across multiple HD channels!

Since today morning both Hindi and English News Channels are available in wide screen 16:9 picture aspect ratio so looks like their HD feeds will be launched very soon and made available on various DTH / Cable TV Platforms.

Tata Play will definitely add it but on Airtel Digital TV some adjustments / changes in current channel number alignment in both Hindi and English News Channels genre would have to be done to add these 2 New HD channels right after their SD Feed....... Incase Of English News Genre it can be done easily as both CNN News18 and India Today TV can be shifted to LCN 391 and 392 respectively and NDTV 24/7 HD can be added on LCN 390 but in Hindi News Genre Airtel would have to either change LCN of all chs from LCN 318 to 329 and shift each of them ahead to next LCN slot and add NDTV India HD on LCN 318 or add NDTV India HD at LCN 330 or at 312 replacing its home channel but honestly i think Airtel will not be adding these channels keeping in mind that it has limited bandwidth and won't be willing to compress transmission quality of channels currently available on their transponders to accommodate these 2 New HD channels, still maybe if they agree upon a carriage fee deal then addition can well happen too.


Good Times channel still available in SD 4:3 picture format ..... Infact on Airtel Digital TV Platform strangely picture has been further stretched from left/right side and this seems to be fault from broadcaster end as Airtel Logo still is appearing normal as earlier
