In the age of digital set top box where viewers can easily check the running program name using EPG, it seems very illogical to show program name on screen by the channel broadcaster. The program name looks very ugly on screen and occupies valuable screen area. If the program name was displayed during 90s when set top box and EPG didn't exist, it was understandable and acceptable but now its completely useless and stupid.
