Population, Viewership count Makes a difference.
Population speaking malayalam is approx 37 million where as Tamil speaking population is 68 million.

Asianet Middle East exclusively available for Middle East countries. (May be some sat finding techies can grab this channel from their own setup, I mean Dish and STB.) Not forIndia. They've same content from parent Asianet.

Asianet Middle East is the gec for Gulf countries.Started before acquisition by Star and now under Star along with Asianet.it telecast shows,serials and movies of asianet. It is an FTA channel and available in India(not through normal dths and cable tv) but follows UAE time.
