MUMBAI: Discovery Kids has unveiled a summer holiday special line-up with the launch of new series ‘Sheikh Chilli & Friendz’ and ‘Angry Birds’ , amongst others.

The channel will air ‘Sheikh Chilli & Friendz’ from 2 April, daily at 1 pm. ‘Angry Birds’, on the other hand, will air from 6 May, daily at 12 pm.

After receiving positive response to its local content featuring KISNA, BILLOO BHAI and LITTLE KRISHNA, the channel is committed to bring new, clutter-breaking and heart-warming entertainment to millions of its fans across India.

‘Sheikh Chilli & Friendz’ revolves around the adventures of an innocent boy, Sheikh Chilli, and his friends of Jhunjhun Nagar.

Sheikh Chilli is a day-dreaming simpleton who lives with his mother. He has his heart in the right place, but his plans and actions are a source of humour as well as trouble for his friends. He is joined in his adventures by Malika, his smart neighbour and classmate Bulbul, his talking friend-turned-brother donkey, the pocket-sized dwarf Khatkoo and the enchanting Noorie Djinn who has come from another planet to fulfill Sheikh Chilli’s incredible wishes. Creating trouble for Sheikh Chilli & Friendz is the evil witch Buri who is after the magical necklace worn by Noorie Djinn so that she can become all-powerful. The friends encounter various other characters through the course of the series which results in hilarious situations and many laughs.

Super Bheem to be weekly show from 2 April

After the success of the television films on Super Bheem, Green Gold Animation & Pogo are gearing up to present Super Bheem in a weekly episodic format every Sunday, starting, 2 April 2017. The makers of Chhota Bheem, Green Gold Animation has come up with an upscale 3D-off shoot avatar to their star character ‘Chhota Bheem’ titled as ‘Super Bheem’. It shows Bheem and his friends in a freshly churned 3D animation format, now as a weekly TV series on the titular character- ‘Super Bheem’.
