New HD Connection

Hi everyone I am planning to purcahse a new SUN DIRECT HD Connection in the coming new year 2013. I have a few queries:
1. Is my choice right ?
2. Is there any upgradation policy in SUN DTH ?
3. What are the HD Channels I shall be able to watch ?
4. Is DD HD available on SUN DTH ?
5. What will be my monthly packages to choose frrom ? ( Please any one create a separate thread about SUN DTH HD Packages as it is not there)
6. Is there any regional content ?
Thanks in advance. I am already using SUN DTH SD.

1. It depends on your choice. If you like SUN Direct then go with it.
2. Don't know, other users please help on this.

4. DD HD is shut down from boardcasters.
5. Check this thread: Sun Direct Packages Don't know if there are separate HD Packages.

Sun hd one month package cost 255 rs. 8 hd channels + any regional content add on.
I am tamil cinema plus hd pack user.

A: Channel Not Available any more (stopped by the broadcaster)

6. Is there any regional content ?
Regional content is not available in HD except the ones on the list. For comparison of Bengali SD channels across different DTH see this:
