Received a new software update on my binge+ box last night.

I haven't noticed any UI change. But I'll have to explore more. Didn't get time last night to check thoroughly...

Rightly said. It's not intuitive... And very slow. Better yet, they should bring a new box with better hardware. But it's not likely, especially when they are running in huge losses...

Yes, I don’t think they will bring any good hardware device. Not just them—none of the DTH operators will do that. All operators sell their boxes at a low price to attract more customers, so they always look to cut costs. As a result, they only provide low-spec devices. I’m setting my Tata Binge Box aside due to the lag and now prefer a standard HD box for TV viewing.

Both factors matter—the hardware is already low, and they've (Tata Play) done heavy customization on the OS side. If they reduced the customization in Android, it would be much better.
