Personally, I recommend an HD box for live channel viewing, and only choose an Android STB if you really need it. If you already have an Android device like an Android box, stick, or TV, use that instead.
But HD box cannot give 4k, Dolby Atmos and Vision, that is why I asking for 4k box with Dolby Atmos and Vision without any OS like Google TV

Forget atmos..in normal hd box, even Dolby digital not present , at least officially 😅🙏

If Tata Play Provides Software Like Android TV Or Sun Direct Ka Software Type, Will That Make Box Really Faster?
It purely depends on OS optimization, check for example Airtel xstream , I heard it is faster and smoother than binge+ even though hardware is same

Both in HD as well Smart Android boxes Tata Play lags far behind Airtel Digital TV as far ad features and product quality is concerned.

That's true, but from a practical perspective for TV channels, 4K channels are still quite limited. Dolby Atmos and Dolby Vision also hold low priority for most TV broadcasters. For OTT platforms and other streaming services, we can consider 4K, HDR, Dolby, etc. That's why I suggested only going for an Android STB if it's really necessary. Otherwise, an HD box combined with a Chromecast-like device would be sufficient.

Didn't i say earlier, airtel is the trigger keyword? 🥲

Anyway the fact cannot be denied , airtel optimization good but still airtel software engineers cant implement a basic fav feature 😂..such an advanced team but cannot simple issues...

You haven't compared tataplay hd and binge+ box probably, I can't blame you ..there is day and night difference in picture quality especially for sd channels ...hd boxes manufactured before 2018 era had such quality but sadly due to cost cutting , they have used inferior hardwares...just try binge+ box or old hd box once.. 😊

And I am saying again , sun 4k box is a big mistake, there is literally no numeric key to input lcn so what is the use of such boxes

Yes, I know. I have Tata HD and Binge, along with Dish TV and Sun boxes. I was just referring to the current scenario overall, not focusing solely on Tata HD and Android boxes. Sorry if it came across that way.

Technically I agree with you, if you already have 4k tv there is no need of Android box but picture quality difference is there ..so no other option atleast for me ...on the contrary, disth tv and airtel has same quality in both hd and Android boxes
