This transponder was previously for North East Asia beam and being used by a separate company, looks like SES realigned beam to South Asia and allocated it to Airtel post it was vacated by former client.

Also this makes it clear that airtel will add important channels to complete bouquet, dish d2h will follow soon. With no worries about negotiating or paying broadcasters in advance or getting best deal for long term , now operators will find it extremely easy to add new channels if they have bandwidth for it. Airtel's standard reply earlier for not adding channels was this concern itself that we can't afford to enter into costly long term higher bouquet agreement but unable to recover investment or earn profit due to limited takers for it.

Now airtel will build on boosting HD count and take Tata Sky head on to capture premium or urban subscribers. Good Times after a long wait

MTV Beats HD, Vh1 HD, FYI TV18 HD, Nat Geo Wild HD, Cartoon Network HD , Regional HD channels from big broadcasters will be added. Aaj Tak HD will be added after exclusivity period with Tata Sky ends. On SD front we will see addition of Star Gold Select, Nat Geo Music, Zee Anmol Cinema, PTunes, PPlus, etc.

Baby TV HD, Nat Geo People HD , Nat Geo Music HD might also be added but i sense their closure soon in next few weeks by Star India hence can't be sure. MTV HD+ is also a non performer but has fair chance to land and be present until some call is taken by broadcaster.

Airtel's harvest of new channels on fresh transponders has started with Harvest TV near Makar Sankranti period hence this willl surely be Shubo for all of us

Travel XP is not coming and not needed too, it does not have any great content to deserve HD feed addition. All its programs r dull and boring on presentation front
