Tho I don't think they will ever reveal the real capacity left, due to Must Carry clause. If you notice all DTH and MSO operators have declared spare capacity as zero or 1.

Yes, operators can list "available space" as per own subjective parameters which can differ applying various combinations or changes.

Thanks for pointing to new link. Airtel as usual did not even add redirect link there, their tech updation has always been poor

About ch addition or new tp, it will happen after software update rollout is over. This new tp might b makeshift arrangement, also multiple chs would get added at one go... LCN rearrangement also due and pending ones or even current RIO renewal like indiacast will need proper lcn slots

It's not available on the platform. There are many dummy channels on TPs that are already removed.

Scanning will just list out chs , includes active and dummy slots. U cannot get access until u subscribe them bcoz all r encrypted. Guess u r getting confused about this. Even u cannot get access to FTA chs from any sat on airtel or any other operator boxes as this has been blocked thru software
