The whole point of 153 NCF is just pure bull*hit how can Trai thinks anyone will save money by paying mandatory 153 rupees is beyond my understanding 🙃....

NCF should have been maximum 75 rupees
Yeah. Imagine paying 170 just to watch a single channel. I think at the very least these broadcaster should introduce long term one time NCF. Like some one pays 600 for whole year as NCF and that's it. Now he can can select which ever channel he wants and only pay for those as NCF is already paid. Ex- NCF of 600 for a year. Then i will select Sony Ten 2 HD and Star Sport Select 1 HD. This will cost me around 43. So 50+ 43=93 will be my overall monthly expenditure. NCF should be treated as a plan itself. Not something separate. This existing system is pathetic.

I hope u remember pre NTO days when subscription to minimum base me pack was compulsory to add a-la-carte or top up. So even earlier u paid similar amount even for watching 1 pay channel but had few options to pick chs at affordable rates.
Right now i would suggest that opt for operator bouquet to get NCF discounts or wait a little for NTO 2.0 to b implemented as standalone prices might decrease.

is there any operator bouquet in tata sky for which tata sky charge less than 153?
apart from these already overpriced packs?

Tata sky will be last DTH company to give any benefit to subscribers, even Airtel has UDP pack with one year subscription of around Rs 1350 or so with basic free channels and some premium channels like Star Plus and Star Sports 1 in this pack,if we want less NCF better stay away from so called premium DTHs

DishTV is also in the same way to loot its customers.

Look at my details. I have already take Bharat Combo pack for a year which include NCF. But if I am activating extra channels then DishTV is charging extra NCF charge to me which is too bad.
I have seen with Airtel, there is no extra charge for it.
Can you Imagine, you are buying a Bharat Combu pack just to save NCF and you are getting some paid channels with it which are totally waste. Then while activating extra channels again you are paying. The hell service and dth.
