Do you remember the awareness ads what they say, they ask the people to check with your DTH or LCO operator, not how to do them on apps...

An Example :

On that post I said ads by TRAI where they were teaching how to choose packs. Not broadcasters. This is not awareness but promotion.

During NTO 1 implementation, one of my friend's dad called DTH guy and gave preferences. DTH tech tried to give a pack containing all the required channels with maximum amount possible and the subscription rate increased from 200 to 450. They agreed and it was like that for 2-3 months. At one of the functions, I spoke to him about the same and analyzed the pack vs requirement and confirmed that they could have saved atleast 120 per month. This is the situation at many households. These rules are not benefitting anyone but the companies.
That's because he enquired. My aunt who wasn't aware about pack selection was moved to best fit pack by Tata Sky. Monthly bill was same as before. Only channels got reduced. The brilliantly gave her everything as Alacartè.

I haven't seen Trai awareness ads anywhere... Practically they haven't done any awareness promotions.. Only the broadcasters had done that... I have never seen a ad by TRAI anywhere on popular channels atleast in Telugu... I hope you aren't referring to the Videos they posted on their YouTube channels.

Also there were atleast 10-15 household in my relatives and neighbours where I advocated DIsh TV for FTA Bharat pack + HD Addon to get all HD channels in a very less price. That was the golden era. Almost everyone switched off DIsh TV After NTO as the same subscription were taking more than 500

Adapt, Learn, Enjoy r keywords. TRAI rules benefit all if implemented properly...right now broadcasters r not willing to adapt and adopt it while viewers r misinformed and think these rules r bad...somehow DTH players after initial opposition now accepting these rules. Everything will work fine if broadcasters price channels properly but they seem to uncomfortable or not confident with content and want old long term deals back where high subscription revenue was earned in advance and useless channels pushed onto us with repeated content.

Viewers need to mature and ask for good content at right price rather than old unorganized way of going about things. These new rules provide much needed level playing field for all and a much needed welcome move

What r u saying bro? TRAI awareness campaigns ran across chs when NTO got implemented and still running on DTH home channels. Even DTH operators came up with such videos and all these were in english, hindi, regional languages

Well in that case TRAI should make sure that they dont take an advantage of the same and price the channels too high. Ad free + High cost and Ads + Low cost model should be made mandatory or something like this to get a level playing field for all channels

Sorry, let me correct myself here. I think ads were from IBF.
