Yeah... Agreed but what's the need to do that is my question... It's just a rupee a consumer they will be getting that too on HD. This may result in loss than more profit if people starts dropping the channel.

Yeah, maybe they are thinking people don't care specifically most local cable subscribers don't even know they will just pay a price ... And maybe they are thinking bigg boss for 3 to 4 months is going to cover this... And other months they have some serials so,maybe they are testing with this channel... That's why they didn't priced sports channel above 19rs..
If things workout with this channel they will do the same thing with other popular channels

Also Hungama part of regular sta channels bouquet while disney channels continue to be available in separate bouquet. Disney International HD proce increased by Rs. 2 and it too continues to be available only on A-La,-Carte basis.

You said there was no vested interests keeping Disney International HD. Now please explain their "strategy."

reducing price does not necessarily mean that channel is not doing well. It can be a strategy to further increase the viewership and earn more thru ad revenue

Bcoz these r amended version of original NTO rules...such has happened many times in the past 5 years
