I am not spreading any misinformation but just stating the facts as they stand. If there was no bouquet cap pricing in currently applicable rules then u would have seen broadcasters implement NTO 2.0 latest pricing strategy way back in 2021 itself when they brought in amended RIO.

Anna u please provide me any example of current broadcaster bouquet where more than 33% discount cap is applicable. 1st twin conditions of updated NTO 1.0 rules still remain to be in effect
First you give proofs for discount@33% for existing NTO 1.0, You are writing so much confusing news about NTO, but missing existing NTO proofs for discount for boutiques

I am not writing any confusing but rather explaining all things in details and they itself have complexities involved so one needs to have patience + have a deeper look to better understand the matter

AFAIK @dino29

NTO 1.0 Had No Capping ON Discount

Bouquets Were Offered At Higher Discounts!

Can You Mention Some More Your Points??
The proof you asked, without the discount cap was already posted by @Vadirocks bro on another thread. I quoted it above.

@dino29 Thambi I clearly asked you to post a proof if you were going to respond my post. You didn't. So it's proven that you are spreading misinformation on the forum. Please stop it here. We will be forced to remove all your posts related to this topic, if you don't stop spreading this misinformation.

We are at the door step of NTO 2.0, why these old expired data needed in confusing way? Stop misleading.

My opinion is that, majority of the consumers won’t even know the technicalities of all these. Their respective cable operator will be handling everything for them and will ask them to pay monthly bill. And those who actually understand these things, might have already moved to OTT/may move post NTO 2.0 due to these increased prices.
I am one of these people whose family has completely cut the cord. I myself hardly understand anything about channel pricing, bouquets, discount caps, à-la-carte prices and all revenue-related matters. That is why I can count on DreamDTH members who understand it deeply to provide everything I need. :smile2:

Anna, @Vadirocks bro had posted bouquet information which was from early stage of NTO implementation when there was no capping of bouquet prices as court had struck down 15% discount cap rule. In beginning of 2020 itself TRAI brought amendments and 1st twin condition was implemented which again brought back capping. This is why despite revising RIO few times in 2020 and 2021 broadcasters were not able to implement pricing strategy like they have done in the Latest RIO which allows 45% discount on bouquet .

Request u to not delete any post as lot of time and efforts have gone in writing these things and all r based on actual facts...there is no misinformation

Please Provide Valid Proof, If You Have Any Which Confirms Discount Capping Is 33% Under NTO 1.0

Pick up any of currently applicable broadcaster bouquet and u can calculate the same

We are at the door step of NTO 2.0, why these old expired data needed in confusing way? Stop misleading.

Bcoz questions r being put which require comparisons and quoting old data

Dino bro just be calm for this topic,it is better.

I am calmly answering all questions buddy with accurate data and facts. Thanks for ur concern 🙏

@Siva anna here is an example for u.Total a-la-carte price of all channels included in currently applicable variant of Star Value Prime Hindi bouquet comes out to be Rs. 78 while price of the bouquet is approx Rs. 58...so discount being provided in bouquet is below 30%.

Please note Airtel Digital TV has signed agreement for latest NTO 1.0 RIO variant while Tata Play and Sun Direct continue with older variant of Disney - Star RIO agreement hence don't bring in Star Value Prime Bouquet as available on Tata Play and Sun Direct in this discussion as in those RIO agreement r different

There's no latest implementation on any platform and Airtel Digital TV is nothing different. The current LIVE RIO on ALL platforms, including Airtel Digital TV is the NTO 1.0 with NO discount capping on bouquets.

You are an Airtel Digital TV user. If you think there's a changed RIO that's in place, how difficult is it for you to post an example bouquet. So please post a proof to support your theories, else agree with the others. It doesn't make sense to keep going on and on about the same thing. And like @Vadirocks bro said, keep your posts to the point.

You r wrong Anna. Tata Play is still having older NTO 1.0 RIO inplace for disney star channels, u will see that on Tata Play there will b difference in price of certain disney star channels and even variation incase of placement of channels in Disney star bouquet . Older variant which is still applicable on Tata Play platform has Star Gold Select part of Star Value Prime Bouquet and UTV channels still excluded from this bouquet and part of separate disney pack. Also prices of channels like Bindass, Star Gold Select and few others would also be visible when u compare it to latest version of disney star bouquets (amended NTO 1.0 RIO) prices which r effective on Airtel Digital TV Platform.

Adding to the above information , Baby TV HD was part of 1st variant of NTO 1.0 RIO which was introduced by disney star and as Tata Play still continues to have this RIO agreement inplace hence Tata Play subscribers r also getting to see Baby TV HD ...as Airtel Digital TV signed onto amended NTO 1.0 RIO of disney-star hence they dropped this channel from the platform long back

Strange that u do not know about this until now, we have discussed this earlier too in the forum.

As i have stated i am just mentioning proper facts and not spreading any misinformation as u and some others r constantly alleging against me. Request all to please 1st properly understand what i am saying rather than just levelling wrong allegations on me.

This matter itself has complexities involved and require patience / deep diving to clearly decode the correct information

Bro! Honestly, Your Post Confusing Me,

Can You Be Specific, What Are You Trying To Say??

Anna i have stated it very clearly. Tata Play did not sign up for amended / updated disney-star RIO which was brought in beginning of 2021 and continuing with 1st version of disney-star RIO which was brought in when NTO rules were implemented in starting of 2020. Airtel Digital TV signed agreement for updated/amended NTO 1.0 RIO of disney-star hence there is difference visible in pricing of some channels / bouquet of disney star which r available to Tata Play and Airtel Digital TV subscribers
